piloteer review rant i love the art style and idea, but there are a lot of faults in this game. 1. the landing mechanism is really unpredictable. sometimes, youll settle on an object perfectly on your feet, only to then randomly slip off. 2. birds? i guess theyre fun in the missions where you have to hit a certain number of them, but sometimes ill have almost completed a very difficult challenge, and suddenly be hit by a bird, thereby losing the only run where ive had enough luck to complete all the tasks successfully up until then (a chance which i spent the previous half an hour getting). it was a bad idea logistically from the start- to add a random influence that changes how you end up doing and depends solely on your luck. its not like you can avoid the birds with such limited time and hard-to-use controls, anyway. people say that everyones only annoyed because they dont have enough skill, but in my experience, i only get infuriated when some random event causes me to lose like in the previously mentioned points. 3. not enough stuff. firstly, there are only 3 areas. no exploration, no cool places to see, just dark, gloomy areas with almost the same color schemes (the game isnt using its art style to its full potential!). the addition of new areas with new colors and new scenery is something i think would make this game so much better. plus, once you complete all the missions in each area, you get upgraded to platinum. i, for one, was pretty happy to be done with this game once i was on the "land on every obstacle" mission of the third area. however, once seeing i achieved being platinum, i was curious to see the new missions, only to discover that there werent new missions. they just recycled the old ones (or ones similar to the previous ones and with unnoticeable differences) and added time limits. this is the most horrible part of all. not only are all of the rest of the missions boring because ive essentially done them before, but theyre also much more arbitrarily difficult. the two options are: toiling through these horrible missions for the next few weeks/months whilst simultaneously being bored and annoyed by the unnecessary time limit, or not suffering through the rest of the game by giving up and thus being left with a feeling of unfinished-ness and dissatisfaction. its a lose-lose situation. and thats why this game fails, even just logically.

Could never figure out how to fly the stupid piloteer and the game does a poor job in helping the user learn the controls, theres not tutorial. Thank god, I didnt pay for this

This game is great and really addictive. The difficulty in controlling is really a feature and adds to making you reach the perfect level of frustration and accomplishment.

No game has made me hate birds more.

I love this game! The controls arent to hard to learn, and without them being hard, the game wouldnt be fun. The only thing that I had a hard time with was that while Im flying in free fly, a mission pops up on the screen and wont go away. In order to get it away, I have to refresh the game, which can kind of be tedious. Other than that, I love the art, the missions are a perfect balance of being hard but not too hard, and you can have a blast playing Piloteer.

The controls are not bad. Theyre supposed to be hard. The missions are impossible!

Controls need tweaking. They are "touchy", and you cant really go straight up all that easily. You need to have a "up" button option, in addition to the "touchy" left-up/right-up you have currently.

Total wast of money. Controls are maddening! Look elsewhere Id like my money back

the controls are bad the birds are rude/annoying and what kind of jet pack uses confetty to fly? and why is it piloteer wouldent it be jetpacteer? dont waist your money please please please its not worth it

Kudos to the the writers and creators for engineering such a beautiful game. Very fun

I play lots of games on my cell phone. This one is perfect. Its challenging enough to keep me interested. It took me a while to master the controls, but that was pet of the fun - and made it more gratifying when I finally got decent at it. The artwork is really amazing and unlike any other game I have played. Im a big fan of this creators games!

Finished the game on platinum and now Im fiending. Sequel please!

Overall, the game performs and looks good. The controls are wonky, yet fun and the quick gameplay is done well with challenging goals. There seems to be a bit of physics weirdness though with sometimes the character not moving a direction at all and sometimes going full speed instantly without realistic movement balance. The other issue is sometimes the character doesnt lock when landing on their feet.

If you cant control your Piloteer, its not much fun. What a waste.

Good game challenging at first but ull get it. But one thing that disappoints me is that u cant change the person if u can fix that please do. But good game

How many hours did it take for the developer to make this game? Who knows who cares. Just know this. Have you ever enjoyed throwing your phone across the room. Some people have. Have you ever snapped your phone in half because of bad control. Do you hate it when you see that the side jets on the jet pack are slightly off and realize thats what they wanted. To make a crap jet pack that wont go straight. This game might be your way of breaking your phone. Do you enjoy that, breaking your phone. Well the people who wasted $3 like me will. Soon my phone will break because of this game. Hope you guys like this review because this game is crap. Dont buy it.

I love this game but the birds mess me up and I cant win anything so get ride of the BIRDS
